Lindsay Goldwert is an editorial director, writer, and the author of Bow Down: Lessons from Dominatrixes on How to Be a Boss in Life, Love and Work (Simon & Schuster, January 2020).

She is currently the Editorial Director and co-creator of Adulted, an online magazine and editorial arm of Stripes, a skincare and wellness brand, founded by actor and activist Naomi Watts.

She has worked as a journalist for more than fifteen years, at outlets including Glamour, CourtTV, ABC News, CBS News, and Daily News (New York). Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, NYMag, Qz, Marketwatch, CNBC, AdWeek, Refinery29, Fast Company, Slate, and many others. She has appeared on multiple panels and podcasts to talk about women and finance, financial education, relationships and communication and more.

In 2016, she created SPENT, a podcast for the financially challenged that has been featured in The Atlantic, The A.V. Club, The Globe and Mail (Toronto), and others. She also created and hosted the podcast Teach Me How to Money, a top 100 Business Apple podcast, for Stash, where she served as the editorial director in 2017.

In addition, Lindsay performed stand-up comedy all over New York City and co-produced Sunnyside Comedy, a popular weekly show. In 2009, she co-wrote the short film, “Nowhere Kids” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Lindsay is also a content consultant for early-stage startups. She has written for brands big and small, including Stripes, Zeta, MenoLabs, Stash, Good Housekeeping, Synchrony Bank, Seven Rooms, HGTV, and many others.

Her other interests include reading books by dead authors, watching classic Hollywood films, and writing and solving mysteries in her head. She lives in Queens with her husband and a slightly dented cat.
